Berkeley Capital Advisors is one of the Southeast's leading brokers of single-tenant net-leased investment properties. Our firm has arranged the sale of more than 150 such assets over the past four years.

Steve Horvath and Jay Levell focus exclusively on the sale of single-tenant net-leased properties, primarily to the tax exchange market, and have extensive knowledge of the factors that affect such investments. Our firm continuously monitors market factors such as major tenant credit ratings, trade area positioning, and the daily bond market shifts that impact property values. We welcome inquiries from developers and investors as to the potential sale value of their properties.

Whereas the majority of our single-tenant brokerage activity is concentrated in the Carolinas and neighboring Southeastern states, our firm routinely arranges sales nationwide. Such transactions range from small retail and restaurant facilities, to freestanding supermarket and drug stores, to large home improvement centers and "big box" category-oriented retailers. Our brokerage resume also includes the sale of numerous single-tenant office/industrial buildings and unsubordinated ground-lease investments.

STEVE HORVATH is a co-founding partner of Berkeley Capital Advisors and specializes in the brokerage of single-tenant net-leased properties, with an emphasis on tax-deferred exchange transactions. Mr. Horvath has executed over 350 sales totaling over $950 million in volume since 1995. In the past four years alone, he has arranged over 150 single-tenant investment sales, of which 147 of the 152 sales satisfied tax exchange requirements. Prior to forming Berkeley Capital Advisors in 1997, Mr. Horvath served as Director of Brokerage and Acquisitions for Lat Purser and Associates for 10 years. JAY LEVELL specializes in the sale of single-tenant properties, with an emphasis on tax-deferred exchanges. Mr. Levell joined Berkeley Capital Advisors in 2002, and in the past 2 years has helped arrange more than 80 sales totaling more than $200 million in volume. Prior to joining Berkeley Capital Advisors, Mr. Levell attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Mr. Levell continuously monitors current market conditions and is able to quickly provide up-to-date asset valuation opinions and disposition options to developers considering the sale of an investment property.
